Bitcoin hit a new ATH of $108k before a 15% dump! The FED cut rates by 25bps but Jerome Powell’s statement was bearish + Bitcoin formed a bearish divergence on the daily chart. This tells us the correction was healthy and nothing to worry about. Altcoins obviously dumped harder than BTC but nothing has changed on high time frames.
TOTAL2 — crypto market cap excluding BTC — just retested weekly support. This is another sign we are still in a bullish environment but that doesn’t mean prices won’t go down before they start going up again.
Many think that national Bitcoin reserves will be announced when Trump steps into office. Although this probably won’t happen soon, it probably won’t be a bearish sign. Trump’s administration promises pro-crypto policies which is more than enough to send crypto higher. Gary Gensler was detrimental to crypto and served lawsuits like old people are giving out candy on Halloween. He announced that he will be stepping down and will be replaced by Paul Atkins, CEO of Ptomak Global Partners and in the words of Trump a “proven leader for common sense regulations”.
